SIGN BRIGADE

If sign bearers are sucessful in getting people to get their
cars washed, why not use them to help get their souls washed?

A sign brigade of 3 to 6 people parading on sidewalk in front of yo:
ur church one hour before servicdes, and maybe drive times 7:00 to 8:30 Thursday and Friady
Mornings will
1.Allow participants to invie more people to church in one hour than they have invited in one year
2. Get hundreds of people prayed for as sign bearers ask the Lord to bless them as they go by
3. Give people the opportunity to witness to their faith by participating
4. Raise thee level of awareness of your church in its neighborhood

Anyone with a good printer and some cardboard paper can make some big,
inexpensive posters. (Just ping out big 5 x 5 posteurr size, tape togetheer, and onto
cardboard backing)

Welcoming Visitors
 
    The larger the church, the more difficult it becomes to identify
and welcome visitors.
     No matter what size church, designated greeters should be standing
out side or at the doors greeting everyone, and especially greeters.
    Members need to stay intentional about looking for
visitors and make them feel welcome.
     Many members are reluctant to welcome visitors becaer use they
are afraid they may be welcoming a member they don't know.
One of he best ways to overcome this is to introduce yourself by saying
something like: "Hi! I'm Bob VanHoose and I don't believe I've
met you, are you a member? If they answer no, that identifies them
as visitors and eliminates embarassment.
      Our visitors brochure not only tells visiitors about our church, but also reasons to
come back.  The lightly attaced survey form provides visitors the opportunity to provide
feed back on their visit.
       We havet adopted the practice of asking members to stand, so as to
double check that all visitors ar greeted and receive a visitors
brochure.
       We are thinking about getting a small jar of peanut butter or some
other  tem and putting our own label on it, as a lingering reminder
of the visit.
        We hope You have something that works better for your, but
