Read Revelation 3:15-22, Psalm 40
                                           Hybrid  Religion
“As we said before, so say I now again, if any man  preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be  accursed.”Galatians 1:8-
The increasing popularity of hybrid  automobiles is much more pleasing than the increasing popularity of hybrid  religion.
As the man made religion of secular humanism takes over in  our schools, court rooms, and government, it becomes harder and harder to pass  on the faith of our fathers to our children.
As teen agers  go on  into college their biblical faith is further eroded by so many non believing  professors.  Many are left with a hybrid faith of mixed beliefs, or no  faith at all.
Some mainline churches seem to be developing a hybrid  religion that ignores clear teachings of Scripture.  In the name of  tolerance and love some churches and pastors teach a hybrid faith trying to  please everyone that ends up destroying everyone as they fall away into  apostasy.
This hybrid faith may show up in many of us at some time or  another. We tend to fall into worship of the idols of this world in our flesh  while trying to worship God at the same time in our spirit.
The  thousands of different professing Christian denominations throughout the world  further attest to the popularity of hybrid religions. They usually want to add  something to the Gospel of grace with the legalism of tradition, rituals,
and conduct which will supposedly give more miles to the gallon much like a
hybrid car.
Jesus makes it very clear that there is no room for hybrid  religion in the Kingdom of God. He is the only way, truth, and life through  which anyone can hope to live forever.
Father, help me to avoid  the false teachings of a hybrid faith that denies your deity and that you  alone can save.  In Jesus’ name, Amen

Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who makes the Lord his
refuge and trust, and turns not to the proud or to followers of false  gods.
