Read Revelation 21, Proverbs 6
                                What Are We Tripping On?
“And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery; but ever be filled and stimulated with the [Holy] Spirit.” Ephesians 5:17 AMP
Whether from boredom, illness, stress, guilt,  pleasure seeking, pride, greed, lust, anger, or envy, many of us are frequently tripping on or over something.
We have probably heard some of the sad stories of friends or loved ones who went “trippin' out” on drugs.  The pattern of starting out on pot or alcohol and progressing to the harder drugs is all too familiar.
Before we get overcome by rightful indignation over those who trip on drugs, we need to remind ourselves that there are other things that can be as bad or worse when when we trip out or over on them. .
God's list of abominations and things he despises are headed by idolatry and  sexual impurities.  Our readings from Proverbs and Revelation reveal some deal breakers that left unrpented can disqualify any of us from the eternal joys of heaven.
The truth is that trippin' out on drugs, or tripping on God's specific commands are all abominations to the Lord, and that we should all be confessing and dealing with our own sins before we get so disgusted about the sins of others.
God's grace can rescue us all.  The only highs worth trippin' on
are getting high on God's love by being filled with the Holy Spirit.
When we bear the fruit of love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, and l we can all  experience joyful tripping.
Father, when I trip stumble and fall let me seek your strength to repent and overcome.  In Jesus' name, Amen

“But as for the cowards and the ignoble and the contemptible and the cravenly lacking in courage and the cowardly submissive, and as for the unbelieving and faithless, and as for the depraved and defiled with abominations, and as for murderers and the lewd and adulterous and the practicers of magic arts and the idolaters (those who give supreme devotion to anyone or anything other than God) and all liars (those who knowingly convey untruth by word or deed)--[all of these shall have] their part in the lake that blazes with fire and brimstone. This is the second death.”
Rev 21:8

“ Here are six things God hates, and one more that he loathes with a passion: eyes that are arrogant, a tongue that lies, hands that murder the innocent, a heart that hatches evil plots, feet that race down a wicked track, a mouth that lies under oath, a troublemaker in the family.”
