PERSONAL INFORMATION
Robert VanHoose was born in 1929 in Ashland, Kentucky and attended public schools in Kentucky and Orlando, Florida. He graduated from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. Bob served 3 years in the US Air Force during the Korean War.
Bob married Lorna Osius of Plymouth Wisconsin in 1952 and they have been blessed with 6 children and 11 grandchildren.
In addition to founding and running Big Sandy Furniture Stores, Bob was an avid breeder and promoter of Arabian Horses for 40 years, and has served churches in Ashland, Kentucky , and Ocala in every capacity from Bible teacher, congregational president and elder for over 50 years.
